Executive Director
Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD) is seeking a new Executive Director to guide a small but mighty team that works hard at helping businesses start and grow. TEDD operates and manages a ten-county rural loan fund; assists with planning and development for local governments; facilitates coordinating services for veterans; links rural transportation providers to users; and generally spreads the word about what an extraordinary place Northeast Washington is to visit, live and work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing, planning, developing and operating programs and projects in accordance with the directives of the Board of Directors and the mission of the organization.
- Manages various programs that TEDD is charged with including the requirements of an Economic Development Administration (EDA) planning district, Associate Development Organization (ADO) for Stevens, and Ferry Counties, the Rural Transportation Planning Organization (RTPO), and others as assigned by the board. The programs are managed to achieve the goals of the respective members affected by the program.
- Assists members with funding and grant needs, including searching for funding and grants, preparation of applications, and management of projects if needed.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with members and other organizations in the District. This includes county commissioners, city mayors, city councils, Rural Resources, Washington State University Extension Service, Chambers of Commerce, Other Economic Development Councils, private business, and groups interested in community and economic development. The goal of TEDD is to work in partnership with these groups in order to effectively use scarce resources to achieve community goals.
Qualifications:
Education and/or experience:
The applicant should have a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, Marketing, or five (5) years experience in Business, Public Relations, Economic Development or a similar field. Equivalent experience can be substituted for the degree.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be bondable. Must possess a valid State of Washington Drivers License and provide proof of insurability.
