Director of Conservation
The Director of Conservation is directly responsible for leadership, management and accountability of the Idaho Chapter’s conservation work which include strategies such as private land and water protection, regenerative agriculture, salmon recovery, and improved management of Idaho’s forests and sagebrush ecosystems. They will directly supervise staff who implement diverse conservation strategies across Idaho and in partnership with other business units in the West. They will provide strategic leadership for the Idaho Chapter, while creating a positive, collaborative, and results-driven culture. They will negotiate complex and innovative solutions with diverse partners. They will establish the Conservancy as a major conservation partner in Idaho with local communities, tribes, government agencies, other NGOs, donors, and supporters. They will negotiate complex and innovative transactions and solutions to ensure strong, equitable, and lasting significant contributions to the Conservancy’s 2030 goals.
