Join The Poynter Institute, a nonprofit located in downtown St. Petersburg, as a crucial member of our marketing team.
We're seeking a data and detail enthusiast who will enjoy tying together creative elements to deliver engaging, accurate communications to hundreds of thousands of journalists, educators, students and donors from around the world. You are responsible for the finishing touches on every marketing communication, from targeting the right email audience to verifying the links on a webpage.
Your ability to both pay attention to the smallest of detail and assess individual communications from a 10,000-foot perspective will ensure that you, your team and our efforts are highly effective. You'll become an integral member of the team that inspires more than 100,000 journalists to enroll in critical professional development training each year. You'll contribute to our fundraising activities and events.
Together, we will elevate a global brand with a 40-year history of excellence in journalism education and leadership. Excellent entry-level marketing role for a high-performing administrative/clerical pro or more recent college grad with 1-2 yrs. email marketing experience. Strong technical acumen with the ability to command software applications highly desired. Previous experience with CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation or publishing software a must. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment serving multiple clients required, as are basic HTML skills.
