Polk County in Crookston, MN has an opening for a Transport Deputy in the Sheriff's Department.
The primary duty for this position is to transport inmates to and from courts, detention centers, medical centers, and other locations as directed. Additional duties include court security, bailiff duty, and proper execution of various civil process and criminal warrants. Applicants must have completed skills and be full time licensed or license eligible by the MN POST Board by December 01, 2018. A valid driver's license is required. Wage range for this position is $20.98 - $26.67/hour; DOE and qualifications.
Under general supervision, the primary duty of this position is the transport of inmates to and from court, Jail/Detention and medical facilities. Additional duties include court and building security, bailiff duty, and proper execution of various civil process and criminal warrants. While much of this work is performed independently and without the immediate presence of a supervisor, incumbents are required to draw upon their extensive training and the procedural guidelines, mandates and laws governing a deputy's response and conduct when determining the appropriate action to take in a particular situation.
