Assistant Professor of Instruction in Social Work, Non-Tenure Track (Ohio University Lancaster)

 

OHIO University Lancaster invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Instruction position in Social Work. Available January 1, 2023. This position is 1.0 FTE with a teaching load of 24 semester hours or equivalent per academic year as well as advising and other service to the Social Work program.

 

The candidate who fills this position is expected to teach undergraduate social work courses in support of the university social work degree programs on this campus and possibly other external sites in the university system.

 

Ancillary duties include the ability to advise and mentor students, secure practicum and field sites for social work students and participate in related student associations.

 

Ohio University’s undergraduate Social Work program was one of the first in the country to be accredited by CSWE and has continually maintained that status. The rural-focused MSW program, which is also accredited by CSWE, is now in its twenty second year.

 

The Lancaster campus, part of Regional Higher Education (RHE), is one of five regional campuses and two centers serving students throughout Southeastern and portions of Central Ohio with a comprised enrollment of more than 5,000 students. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must possess at least a Master’s Degree in social work (MSW) by the start date of the appointment (01/01/2023).  At least two (2) years of direct practice experience in social work is required.
