About the Opportunity:
The position exists to provide desktop, server, and network infrastructure administration and maintenance under the direction of the Architects to ensure an effective and secure digital environment. This position also serves as a Microsoft 365 administrator and a Helpdesk technician. These duties include the development, deployment, maintenance and administration of any server responsible for the administration of the desktop architecture under the direction of the Architects, and any automation required for the efficient management of the MSRS Microsoft 365 tenant and applications
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications –
- Three (3) years of professional level experience in a network environment.
**A Master's degree in Information Technology or a related field may substitute for 18 months of experience, related Bachelor's degree may substitute for 1 year, or related Associate's degree may substitute for 6 months.
Experience must include the following:
- Knowledge in a wide array of technology and architectures including operating systems (Microsoft, VMware, Linux, Novell), LAN/WAN and wireless networking, TCP/IP, directory structures, identity management and provisioning, middleware, firewalls, and remote access.
- Knowledge and skill working in a Windows environment using office support products such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
- Strong oral and written communication skills to provide over the phone, email, and in person technical support to employees
- Ability to perform hands on work to install, integrate, test, debug, and certify components of a technology infrastructure
- Ability to discern the nature of a malfunction (hardware versus software), pinpoint the cause using system management and diagnostic software tools, and make sound decisions to correct the problem in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications –
- Advanced knowledge and skill working with Microsoft 365 tenants and provisioned applications
- Experience with monitoring Nessus and ensuring network integrity
- Ability to develop and maintain automation scripts using Powershell and Bash
- Advanced knowledge and skill working with Linux and Windows server operating systems
