Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $59,000 - $63,000
Degree Requirement: Master's Degree in Nursing
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Active Idaho RN license or eligible to attain
- Current clinical nursing experience
- Experience teaching in an undergraduate or graduate nursing program
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with online and/or distance instruction
- Experience with curriculum development
- Experience with community health nursing and/or research/application of evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to develop/maintain partnerships with academic and community stakeholders
- Evidence of ability to advise and mentor students via online/distance methods
- The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work autonomously within a collaborative and dynamic faculty group.
Responsibilities:
This tenure-track 11-month faculty member will be responsible for teaching primarily online nursing courses for pre-licensure BSN students and RN-BSN students, as well as supervising students in precepted community and/or leadership settings. Assignment includes summer session instruction. Additional responsibilities include advising, scholarship/professional development, and service activities.
**There is a possibility the person assuming this position may have the option of being based in southern Idaho, in proximity to community colleges; travel to the LCSC campus will be required several times per year.
