Primary Purpose
This position can be located on either our main Pocatello, Idaho campus or at the Health Science Center in Meridian, Idaho.
Maintain ISU College of Pharmacy server/computer systems. Manage Student Management system using current web technologies. Provide research and technical support to Health Outcome and Bioinformatics Core Facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Student management, includes internal website and database management (35%)
- Research Support: Health Database Management and Data Extraction; Bioinformatics Core Facility System and Programming Support (30%)
- Static College Website maintenance (5%)
- Faculty and Staff IT hardware and software support (10%)
- Server Management (10%)
- Other Duties as Assigned (10%)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or three (3) years System Administration Experience.
- One (1) year IT Customer Support experience.
- Experience in database management and data retrieval from database(s).
- Ability and interest in learning and applying new IT technologies.
- Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science/Information Technology related field.
- Experience in Web development (PHP, CSS, HTML, Javascript, etc.).
- Python Programming experience.
- Statistical software programming experience (SAS, SPSS, etc.)
- Experience providing database support and data retrieval in Healthcare related field (i.e. SQL)
