Clinical Assistant Professor/Director of Nursing ProgramsIdaho State University
The primary purpose of this position is to supervise a team of nursing faculty to provide nursing students the didactic, lab, and clinical education needed to pass the NCLEX national exam and thereafter serve as competent RN or LPN nurses in a clinical/administrative setting.
- Overall supervision of the College of Technology nursing programs; - Oversee and participate in the evaluation of all nursing faculty; - Oversee and evaluate the performance of nursing students; - Instruct courses in lecture, laboratory, and clinical rotation settings as needed; - Continuously evaluate student learning outcomes and course objectives; - Evaluate student progress using multiple assessment methodologies; - Participate in student recruitment activities; - Maintain nursing programs national accreditation; - Participate in the provision of professional service on the department, college, university or state levels.
Registered Nurse; holding a Master's Degree; at least 5 years of clinical experience; at least 3 years of teaching experience.
At least 8 years of clinical experience; at least 5 years of teaching experience on the college or university level.
