The Columbia River Inter-Tribal Police Department (CRITPD) is based in Hood River, Oregon. It is the law enforcement arm of CRITFC an agency of tribal government. The team consists of patrol officers, dispatchers, victim advocate, and administrative personnel. The department maintains a 24-hour policing effort focused on the 150-mile stretch of the Columbia River from Bonneville Dam to McNary Dam and lands adjacent. CRITPD officers inspect catch, gear, identifications, and tribal fishing sites by vehicle or boat. This can range from a simple visit to a full investigation using high-tech surveillance equipment. Officers also provide assistance during times of need, protect archeological sites, and provide police services for the 31 tribal fishing access sites and other tribal lands along Zone 6 of the Columbia River.

All officers are Oregon-certified and serve as an extension of tribal law enforcement. They hold commissions from all four CRITFC member tribes (Yakama, Umatilla, Warm Springs, and Nez Perce tribes), the Bureau of Indian Affairs, the states of Oregon and some Washington counties. CRITFC is wholly owned and exclusively governed by its four member tribes.
