Buena Vista University has an opening for a Communications Coordinator in Storm Lake, IA. This position will work closely with constituents across the University to manage and prepare communications and marketing content of all forms, working at times under tight timelines. The Communications Coordinator must be an excellent communicator, who can also write and edit many different types of content. Manages day-to-day responsibilities for University advertising and public relations programs.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
- Three to five years of marketing and/or communications experience, preferably in a higher education setting.
- One year of social media experience preferred.
- Experience with photography and videography preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience working with media, publications, crisis communications
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Strong professional interview skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities required.
