Obendorf farms is looking for an agronomist/applicator who is highly motivated individual to come in and work to improve operations, take soil samples, order chemical and fertilizer, and make recommendations. The main focus crops of this position would be onions, sugar beets, blueberries, corn, and wheat. The main focus will be on the onions with time spraying the onions, walking the fields, and checking crop needs. We need an employee who can manage all spray records, spray applications, chemical inventory, chemical postings, logs for tractors, data entry for spray records and adhere to Global GAP standards. Salary: DOE
Job Requirements: - Qualified candidate should have B.S. degree in Agronomy, Plant or Soil Science, General Ag, Ag Business or Mechanized Ag are preferred but not limited to these degree areas - On the job training will be provided for college graduates or candidates with 3-5 years of experience as a field representative or an agricultural sales position will be considered - Excellent computer skills are a plus, especially with excel, databases, word processing, mapping programs, internet and email - Candidate must be a team player and be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
