ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the Route Manager functions including driver scheduling, training and customer delivery requirements. Ensure delivery staff and vehicles are meeting safety requirements. Provide ongoing staff training and follow-up as issues arise. Manage event delivery and staff. Provide event delivery support as needed. Be willing to oversee large events that the Company supplies/staffs. Be willing to work not only in the Company offices but visit customer locations and events with staff as needed. On the job training provided.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Position requires a valid drivers license and an acceptable motor vehicle record. Pre-employment drug testing and background check required. Preferred CDL A or B license but not required, willingness to get in a timely manner a plus. Must be available for scheduled on-call after hours support and alternating weekend support coverage. Possess the following qualities:

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
Sufficient clarity of speech and hearing to effectively communicate, permitting the employee to discern verbal instructions whether in person or via phone. Ability to comply with hygiene and appearance standards for the company. Uniform shirts provided must be worn in a manner consistent with the Company policies. Sufficient manual and physical dexterity which permits the employee to operate safely in a fast moving environment; including mobility, flexibility and ability to lift repeatedly 30 50 pounds off the ground. Also must be able to climb up/down truck steps/ladders without difficulty several times throughout the day. This position is an active position and will not be sitting at a desk all day.
COMPANY INFORMATION:
Boise Cold Storage has been in operation in the greater Treasure Valley since 1903. We supply bagged ice to most grocers and convenience stores, as well as other food processing company and constructions sites within a 100 mile radius. Boise Cold also staffs and supplies ice to most event venues in the valley for games, festivals, concerts etc. While the ice business is somewhat seasonal with a peak busy time of 5-6 months during the year, we still manufacture and deliver ice year round to our customer base. As Boise has continued to grow so has Boise Cold Storage and we are looking for energetic, positive, motivate employees to join our team.
