- The Environmental Programs Coordinator applies technical environmental and regulatory knowledge and skills to plan, coordinate, and implement the District’s environmental compliance and regulatory activities pertaining to applicable local, state and federal agencies. Provides technical assistance and guidance to technical and professional staff as well as temporary employees and consultants.
Traffic Signal Inspector

- The Traffic Signal Inspector is responsible for the inspection of all new traffic signal installations and ensures compliance with all electrical codes, District standards and specifications, and MUTCD requirements for signals, signs, and pavement markings. The individual duties will include: reviewing plan documents to assure accuracy prior to signal construction, participate in pre-construction meetings; inspects the construction of traffic signal builds; prepares technical data for contract changes, reviews change orders and overrun justification; coordinates resolution of engineering, utility work, and safety problems; and prepares a complete final project report with recommendation of acceptance or rejection.
Crew Chief – Drainage Crew

- Under general supervision of the Superintendent, the primary duties consist of supervising the Maintenance Operations team members engaged in cleaning storm drain pipes, catch basins, grates, skimmers, irrigation pipes crossing the Right-of-Way, and sediment tanks. Assures compliance of all applicable safety standards, assists in budget preparation, estimates cost of material, labor and equipment for maintenance activities; trains and instructs team members. Winter operations are an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.
Manager - Commuteride
Starting wage range for the Manager - Comuuteride is $102,544 - $117,936 annually, DOE.

- The Manager of Commuteride manages the technical and clerical subordinates and activities of the section and is responsible for the overall operations of the District’s Commuteride Section. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the Vanpool program and is responsible for the outreach efforts to promote alternative transportation programs. The incumbent leads the marketing efforts of rideshare, vanpool and other Commuteride programs and develops and implements programs related to ridesharing transportation systems within the concepts of established policy.

Starting wage range for the Traffic Operations Engineer is $72,592 - $83,408 per year, DOE.

- Under the supervision of the Congestion Management Supervisor, the Traffic Operations (Ops) Engineer/Asst. Traffic Ops Engineer plans, organizes and implements traffic flow and safety improvements, including signal timing and coordination; makes adjustments to signal timing for construction, special events and incidents that result in detours and/or lane closures. Investigates and resolves traffic signal operations-related problems and complaints; communicates with individual citizens via phone and in writing regarding the operation of traffic signals. Will assist in the operation of the Traffic Management Center (TMC).
