Environmental Programs Coordinator

Starting wage range for the Environmental Programs Coordinator is $64,688 - $74,464 annually, DOQ.

  • The Environmental Programs Coordinator applies technical environmental and regulatory knowledge and skills to plan, coordinate, and implement the District’s environmental compliance and regulatory activities pertaining to applicable local, state and federal agencies.  Provides technical assistance and guidance to technical and professional staff as well as temporary employees and consultants.



Traffic Signal Inspector

Starting wage range for the GEO is $28.40 - $32.60 per hour, DOE.

  • The Traffic Signal Inspector is responsible for the inspection of all new traffic signal installations and ensures compliance with all electrical codes, District standards and specifications, and MUTCD requirements for signals, signs, and pavement markings.  The individual duties will include: reviewing plan documents to assure accuracy prior to signal construction, participate in pre-construction meetings; inspects the construction of traffic signal builds; prepares technical data for contract changes, reviews change orders and overrun justification; coordinates resolution of engineering, utility work, and safety problems; and prepares a complete final project report with recommendation of acceptance or rejection.



Crew Chief – Drainage Crew

Starting wage range for the Mechanic is $28.40 - $32.60 per hour, DOE.

  • Under general supervision of the Superintendent, the primary duties consist of supervising the Maintenance Operations team members engaged in cleaning storm drain pipes, catch basins, grates, skimmers, irrigation pipes crossing the Right-of-Way, and sediment tanks.  Assures compliance of all applicable safety standards, assists in budget preparation, estimates cost of material, labor and equipment for maintenance activities; trains and instructs team members.  Winter operations are an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.

 

Manager - Commuteride

Starting wage range for the Manager - Comuuteride is $102,544 - $117,936 annually, DOE.

  • The Manager of Commuteride manages the technical and clerical subordinates and activities of the section and is responsible for the overall operations of the District’s Commuteride Section. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the Vanpool program and is responsible for the outreach efforts to promote alternative transportation programs.  The incumbent leads the marketing efforts of rideshare, vanpool and other Commuteride programs and develops and implements programs related to ridesharing transportation systems within the concepts of established policy.



Sr. Equipment Operator

Starting wage range for the Senior Equipment Operator is $23.50 - $27.00 per hour/DOQ.

  • Under the supervision of the Crew Chief, the primary duties of the Senior Equipment Operator on the Striping/Pavement Marking Crew are to operate various paint striping vehicles and equipment to mark roadways in Ada County.  Markings include striping, crosswalks, arrows, bike lanes, raised pavement markers, etc.  The Sr. Equipment Operator will be assigned between crews depending on the maintenance needs of the District.  Winter operations are an essential function, and may require the employee to work outside of normal work hours.

 

General Equipment Operator – Utility Crew

Starting wage range for the Planner is $21.30 - $24.50 per hour, DOE.

  • Under general supervision of the Utility Crew Chief, the primary duties of this position are to perform skilled work, manual labor, and operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment.  The crew performs a variety of work from cleaning ditches, fixing cave-ins, and laying pipe to installing concrete.  Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.



General Equipment Operator – Grade Crew

Starting wage range for the Planner is $21.30 - $24.50 per hour, DOE.

  • Under general supervision of the Crew Chief, the primary duty of this position is to perform skilled work and operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment which includes dump truck, water truck, roller, loader, air compressor, jackhammer, as well as winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing the roads.  This position will repair and replace asphalt on the roadways, including potholes, trench repairs, shoulder barrow ditch repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance.  Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and will require working outside of normal work hours.

 

Vanpool Operations Specialist

Starting wage range for the Senior Equipment Operator is $17.60 - $20.30 per hour/DOQ.

  • The Vanpool Operations Specialist coordinates, monitors, and maintains several aspects of the Commuteride Vanpool Program including vehicle inspections, tracking maintenance, mileage, and condition of vans, safety compliance, ordering and replacing fuel cards and vehicle registrations, training new vanpool drivers, and working with other Commuteride staff to form new vanpool routes.
