Pavement Management Engineer
Starting wage range for the Pavement Management Engineer is $72,592 - $83,408 per year/DOQ.

- Under the supervision of the Planning & Programming Manager, the Pavement Management (PM) Engineer is responsible for the data collection, reporting, and evaluation of existing pavement conditions of public roadways. Based on the data collected, the PM Engineer determines the prioritization, selection, type, and timing of maintenance work to be completed on ACHD roadways. Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with GIS data providers, programmers, contractors, the general public, and other District employees.
Performs various computer and data manipulation tasks for the pavement management portion of the District's Geographic Information System.
Supervisor, Accessibility and Mobility
Starting wage range for the Supervisor, Accessibility and Mobility is $91,104 - $104,624 per year, DOE.

- The Accessibility and Mobility Supervisor is responsible to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) throughout the planning, design, and construction process. The individual is responsible for the coordination and implementation of all District access and mobility programs, activities, and services. This also includes work in the management and preparation of policies, guidance documents, plans and project designs that conform with principles of context sensitive design, performance measures, ADA Transition Plan, and Title VI reporting.
Leadworker – Utility Crew
Starting wage range for the Leadworker on the Utility Crew is $25.80 - $29.70 per hour, DOE.

- Under general supervision of the Crew Chief, the Leadworker will perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance functions such as concrete work, pipe installation, storm drain system repairs, sinkhole repairs, and may assist with guardrail repairs. The Leadworker assists with the direction of work for the crew and may act as Crew Chief in their absence. The Leadworker is required to be part of an “on-call” rotation year-round. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies are an essential function of this position and may require working any time during the 24-hour day.
Leadworker – Grade Crew
Starting wage range for the Leadworker on the Grade Crew is $25.80 - $29.70 per hour, DOE.

- Under general supervision of the Crew Chief, the Leadworker will perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance functions such as chip sealing, fog sealing, crack sealing, asphalt paving/patching, gravel roadway and alley grading, and shoulder/borrow ditch maintenance. The Leadworker assists with the direction of work for the crew and may act as Crew Chief in his absence. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours. The Leadworker will be required to be on an “on-call” rotation year around.
Senior Locate Technician
Starting wage range for the Senior Locate Technician is $$21.30 – $24.50 per hour, DOE.

- The Senior Locate Technician responds to utility locate requests from a centralized dispatch center used by other agencies, contractors, and property owners. They will be responsible for managing the software/system used to receive the locate requests and direct the work of the Locate Technicians. The Senior Locate Technician will provide training and technical guidance to the Locate Technicians. Must be able to identify and mark underground utilities by referencing utility prints, existing record drawings, District software, using specific locating equipment, and performing field investigations. The nature of the work performed requires that an employee in this classification establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with contractors, developers, property owners, other agencies, the general public and other District employees.
General Equipment Operator – Rover

Starting wage range for the General Equipment Operator -Rover is $21.30 - $24.50 per hour, DOE.

- This GEO position works with the Paint Crew and Grade Crew. Time will be split between these crews during the year. The GEO will operate various paint vehicles and equipment to mark roadways. Markings include striping, crosswalks, arrows, bike lanes, raised pavement markers, etc. Will also assist in paint related duties, such as maintaining and cleaning the equipment, keeping daily logs, setting up traffic control and work zone safety, and monitoring of seasonal help. May also perform maintenance on roadways including cracksealing, patching, potholes, trench repairs, shoulder repairs, and other road maintenance and asphalt techniques. Operates light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment which may include dump truck, water truck, street sweeper, roller, front-end loader, jackhammer, and winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing the roads. Early morning painting and winter operations are essential functions and will require the employee to work outside of normal work hours during peak seasons.
General Equipment Operator – Drainage Crew

Starting wage range for the General Equipment Operator -Drainage is $21.30 - $24.50 per hour, DOE.

- Under supervision of the Drainage Crew Chief, the primary duties include cleaning storm drain pipes, catch basins, grates, skimmers, irrigation pipes crossing the Right-of-Way, and sediment tanks throughout Ada County. Performs skilled work and operates light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment and winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing the roads. Winter operations are an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.
