General Equipment Operator – Grade Crew

Starting wage range for the General Equipment Operator on the Grade Crew is
$21.30 - $24.50 per hour/ DOQ.

- Under general supervision of the Crew Chief, the primary duty of this position is to perform skilled work and operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment which includes dump truck, water truck, roller, loader, air compressor, jackhammer, as well as winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing the roads. This position will repair and replace asphalt on the roadways, including potholes, trench repairs, shoulder barrow ditch repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and will require working outside of normal work hours.
General Equipment Operator – Utility Crew

- Under general supervision of the Utility Crew Chief, the primary duties of this position are to perform skilled work, manual labor, and operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment. The crew performs a variety of work from cleaning ditches, fixing cave-ins, and laying pipe to installing concrete. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.
General Equipment Operator – Drainage Crew

Starting wage range for the General Equipment Operator on the Drainage Crew is
$21.30 - $24.50 per hour/ DOQ.

- Under supervision of the Drainage Crew Chief, the primary duties include cleaning storm drain pipes, catch basins, grates, skimmers, irrigation pipes crossing the Right-of-Way, and sediment tanks throughout Ada County. Performs skilled work and operates light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment and winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing the roads. Winter operations are an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.
Accessibility Inspector

Starting wage range for the Accessibility Inspector is $23.50 - $27.00 per hour/ DOQ.

- The Accessibility Inspector conducts investigations and inspections of all temporary traffic control (TTC) for construction activities within the public right-of-way and any permanent pedestrian facilities to ensure accessibility by people with disabilities.
Zone Inspector

Starting wage range for the Zone Inspector is $23.50 - $27.00 per hour/ DOQ.

- The Zone Inspector monitors, inspects and investigates contractor compliance with District policy, specifications, and standards for work performed within the public right-of-way areas of Ada County.
Engineering Lab Technician/Sr. Lab Technician
Starting wage for the Lab Technician is $16.00 - $18.40 per hour, DOQ,
Sr. Lab Technician wage is $19.40 - $22.30 per hour, DOQ.

Engineering Lab Technician & Sr. Lab Technician:
- Conducts sampling and testing of soils, aggregate, asphalt, and concrete to assure minimum District standards and specifications for construction materials are met (in the field and laboratory), and also completes the necessary documentation for each test. Both the Engineering Technician and Sr. Engineering Technician interact frequently with District inspectors and contractors.
Sr. Engineering Lab Technician:
- Additionally, performs technical materials tests and supervises other employees in the performance of their standardized laboratory tests. The incumbent often functions as the lead technician for field sampling and materials sample gathering.
