Starting wage range for the Traffic Operations Engineer/Asst Traffic Operations Engineer is
$64,688 – $83,408 per year/ DOQ. THESE POSITIONS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR A SIGN ON BONUS.

- Under the supervision of the Congestion Management Supervisor, the Traffic Operations (Ops) Engineer/Asst. Traffic Ops Engineer plans, organizes and implements traffic flow and safety improvements, including signal timing and coordination; makes adjustments to signal timing for construction, special events and incidents that result in detours and/or lane closures. Investigates and resolves traffic signal operations-related problems and complaints; communicates with individual citizens via phone and in writing regarding the operation of traffic signals. This position will require assisting in the operation of the Traffic Management Center (TMC) and supporting the occasional special event on weekends or evenings
General Equipment Operator- Utility Crew

Starting wage range for the General Equipment Operator on the Utility Crew is $21.30 – $24.50 per hour/ DOQ.

- Under general supervision of the Utility Crew Chief, the primary duties of this position are to perform skilled work, manual labor, and operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment. The crew performs a variety of work from cleaning ditches, fixing cave-ins, and laying pipe to installing concrete. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.
General Equipment Operator – Grade Crew

Starting wage range for the General Equipment Operator on the Grade Crew is $21.30 - $24.50 per hour, DOE.

- Under general supervision of the Crew Chief, the primary duty of this position is to perform skilled work and operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment which includes dump truck, water truck, roller, loader, air compressor, jackhammer, as well as winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing the roads. This position will repair and replace asphalt on the roadways, including potholes, trench repairs, shoulder barrow ditch repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and will require working outside of normal work hours.
Electronic Signal Technician

Starting wage range for the Electronic Signal Technician is $25.80 - $29.70 per hour, DOE.

- The Electronic Signal Technician performs technical duties associated with the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex electronics, electrical, and communication equipment. Will maintain, repair, and modify digital and analog electrical systems, traffic controllers, detectors, amplifiers, multiplex communication equipment, and electromechanical traffic control equipment in the shop and field using software systems, electronic testing equipment, and digital meters. Locates and marks underground signal facilities for utilities and construction projects. Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with utility representatives, the general public, and other district employees. Able to assure completion of all documentation of daily activities as required. Subject to 24-hour emergency on-call duty for a 7-day week on a rotating schedule.
Crew Chief – Grade Crew
Starting wage range for the Crew Chief on the Adams Grade Crew is $28.40 - $32.60 per hour, DOE.

- Under general supervision of the Superintendent, the primary duties consist of supervising the Maintenance Operations team members engaged in maintenance work and related projects, assuring compliance of all applicable safety standards, assisting in budget preparation, estimating cost of material, labor and equipment for maintenance activities, and training and instructing team members. The grade crews primary responsibility is to repair and replace asphalt on the roadways, including potholes, trench repairs, shoulder barrow ditch repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance. Winter operations are an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.
