The Environmental Engineer performs professional engineering work in the environmental and civil engineering disciplines. The incumbent manages the water quality engineering program and serves as the stormwater quality representative on capital project teams. The Assistant Environmental Engineer applies the application of professional environmental and civil engineering knowledge and skills to engineering projects. The incumbent coordinates the water quality engineering program and serves as the stormwater quality representative on capital project teams. Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with irrigation districts, contract engineers and designers, State and local boards and commissions, property owners, the public
and other District employees.
Planning & Programming Manager
Starting wage of $76,731 - $92,061 per year, DOQ

The Planning/Programming Manager is responsible for the research, development, implementation and
management of the District’s short-range (programming) and long-range (planning) plans. The Manager will
need to work with federal, state and local transportation and land use agencies to coordinate transportation
infrastructure needs. The Manager exercises general supervision over subordinate supervisors and professional
personnel.
Development Review Supervisor
Starting wage of $71,053 - $85,259 per year, DOQ

The Supervisor is responsible for the operation and supervision of the Development Review Section, including decision-making, personnel supervision, and the application of engineering knowledge and skills. The Supervisor oversees Engineer Technicians, and the review of plats and street improvement plans, and acts as Project Manager on Cooperative Development Projects constructing street and intersection capital improvements. The Supervisor will assist the public, contractors, engineers, and land developers with the interpretation of policies, plans, specifications, and regulations. Will also investigate and resolve development-related problems and complaints.
Electronic Signal Technician

Performs technical duties associated with installing, maintaining, and repairing complex electronics,
electrical, and communication equipment. Will maintain, repair, and modify digital and analog electrical systems, traffic controllers, detectors, amplifiers, multiplex communication equipment, and electromechanical traffic control equipment in the shop and field using software systems, electronic testing equipment, and digital meters.
Locates and marks underground signal facilities for utilities and construction projects. Must be able to establish
and maintain cooperative working relationships with utility representatives, the general public, and other district employees. Able to assure completion of all documentation of daily activities as required. Subject to 24-hour emergency on-call duty for a 7-day week on a rotating schedule.
Crew Chief- Grade Crew
Starting wage of $23.74 - $27.29 per hour, DOQ

Under general supervision of the Superintendent, the primary duties consist of supervising the Maintenance
Operations team members engaged in maintenance work and related projects, assuring compliance of all
applicable safety standards, assisting in budget preparation, estimating cost of material, labor and equipment
for maintenance activities, and training and instructing team members. Winter operations are an essential
function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.
General Equipment Operator- Utility Crew

Performs skilled work, manual labor, and operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment. The crew
performs a variety of work from cleaning ditches, fixing cave-ins, and laying pipe to installing concrete. All
Crews respond to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and
may require working outside of normal work hours.
General Equipment Operator – Grade Crew

Starting wage $17.83 - $20.50 per hour, DOQ

Performs skilled work and operates light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment which includes dump truck,
water truck, roller, loader, jackhammer, as well as winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and
deicing the roads. The Grade Crew performs will repair and replace asphalt on the roadways, including potholes, trench repairs, shoulder repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance. All Crews responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours. These positions include an excellent benefits package, with participation in the Public Employee Retirement
