The ROW Agent performs right of way work at a journeyman capacity, dealing with all aspects of the more complex
right of way projects, including coordinating the right of way activities between ACHD and other agencies, preparing
staff reports for commission, attending project development meetings, managing properties, and providing
technical assistance to other staff. The Agent assists in the monitoring of the consultants, manages right-of-way
portions of capital improvement projects review construction plans and project maps and make title
examinations.
The Sr. ROW Agent monitors consultants, administers all Right of Way activities including right of way cost
estimates, fair market value appraisal review and understanding, acquisition document preparation, negotiations,
relocation assistance, condemnation preparation and involvement and oversees the property management. The Sr.
Agent handles the more complex issues and may direct the work of support staff.
The Right-of-Way Appraisal Reviewer performs in a lead role and handles the complex issues relating to appraisals
and Estimates of Value; and right-of-way acquisition. May also assist in the monitoring and oversight of right-of-way
consultants, particularly appraisal and relocation consultants. This position may require some evening and / or
weekend work. May oversee the work of other division staff and direct the work of support staff; assists the division
supervisor in reviewing various right of way activities and documents for compliance.
Deputy Director –
Development & Technical Services
Starting wage of $96,424 - $115,482 per year, DOQ

The Deputy Director is responsible for the oversight and strategic planning of District programs and functions as
related to development, capital improvements planning, roadway and bridge design, construction, inspection,
traffic safety and operations, drainage facilities and stormwater quality. The Deputy Director is responsible for
the management of staff to ensure performance expectations are met with regards to the overall organizational
efficiency and performance of the Development & Technical Services Division. The Division includes the
Development Services, Traffic Services, Design and Construction, and Environmental Departments. The Deputy
Director reports directly to the ACHD Director.
Mechanic

The primary duties of this position are to perform journeyman level maintenance and repair of vehicle and
construction equipment. During winter operations, the incumbent must be available respond to emergency call
out, as required on a 24-hour basis.
General Equipment Operator – Grade Crew

Starting wage $17.83 - $20.50 per hour, DOQ

Performs skilled work and operates light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment which includes dump truck,
water truck, roller, loader, jackhammer, as well as winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and
deicing the roads. The Grade Crew performs will repair and replace asphalt on the roadways, including potholes,
trench repairs, shoulder repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance. All Crews responding to
winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require
working outside of normal work hours.
