General Equipment Operator- CDL Training Opportunity

- Looking for a new career? ACHD will provide training and assistance in obtaining an Idaho Class A CDL driver’s license. Within the first 6 months of employment attend District-provided CDL training course and complete required training and tests to obtain Idaho Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement. The General Equipment Operators' primary duties are to perform skilled work and operate light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment which includes dump trucks, water trucks, rollers, loaders, jackhammers, and/or Vac Truck. Knowledge of construction and road maintenance techniques is preferred.
Planning & Programming Supervisor
Starting wage of $71,053 - $85,259 per year, DOQ

- The P& P Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of the Sr. Transportation Planners,
Transportation Planners, Bicycle and Pedestrian Program Coordinator Modeling, and Student Intern positions. The work involves coordinating all project identification and development plans, Integrated Five-Year Work Program (IFWYP), scoping, and annual metric reporting. The P Supervisor will act as a liaison to one of ACHD’s city partners and/or urban renewal agencies.
Lead worker – Utility Crew
Starting wage of $21.58 -$24.81 per hour, DOQ

- Performs a wide variety of skilled maintenance functions such as concrete work, pipe installation, storm drain system repairs, sinkhole repairs, and guardrail repairs. The bridge crew performs and maintains the necessary repairs, installations, and concrete work on bridges to ensure proper construction, maintenance, and structural integrity is met and maintained at the lowest safety risk and inconvenience to the public. Assists with the direction of work for the crew and may act as Crew Chief in their absence. The Lead worker is required to be part of an “on-call” rotation year-round. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working any time during the 24-hour day.
Facilities Coordinator
Starting wage of $23.74 -$27.29 per hour, DOQ

- The incumbent is responsible for the facilities personnel and coordinates the facility activities involving
procurement, oversight of contractors, equipment replacement schedules, and disposal procedures. Oversees contract maintenance activities to ensure timely and quality work; prioritizes work order requests, performs routine maintenance services, and evaluates and selects contractors. The incumbent also maintains a computerized facility maintenance system to include data input and routine maintenance scheduling. Subject to call out to respond, as needed, for emergencies that may arise any time during the 24-hour day.
Lead worker – Grade Crew

- Perform a wide variety of skilled maintenance functions such as chip sealing, fog sealing, crack sealing, asphalt paving/patching, gravel roadway, and alley grading, and shoulder/borrow ditch maintenance. Assists with the direction of work for the crew and may act as Crew Chief in his absence. Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours. The Lead worker will be required to be on an “on-call” rotation year-round. Project Management Supervisor w/Federal Aid Focus
Starting wage of $71,053 - $85,259 per year, DOQ

- The Project Management Supervisor with a Federal Aid focus oversees all activities related to the management of the District’s Federal Aid projects. The supervisor oversees capital project managers assigned to Federal Aid capital projects. Serves as a quality control point for Federal Aid capital projects; assists in the preparation and management of the fiscal budget; ensures timely communication of project status and issues; develops, administers, and monitors work breakdown structures, budgets, and schedules, and implements cost and schedule control procedures. The incumbent develops and coordinates the District’s efforts in project planning for Federal Aid projects to assure District goals and objectives are met.
Project Manager or Sr. Project Manager
Starting wage of $58,739 - $79,107 per year, DOQ

- The incumbent uses best practices in all phases of project development ensuring that projects are planned and executed within scope, schedule, and budget. Must be able to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with government and local agency representatives, interest groups, and the general public. The Project Manager & Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the scope, schedule, and budget of all phases of projects including right-of-way acquisition and construction; plans, organizes and coordinates the scoping, concept, design, and environmental clearances; manages multiple projects of varying levels of size and complexity. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible to direct and control multiple projects, some of which are large, complex, federally funded, highly visible, involve multiple functions and issues, and have a broad impact on government operations and public interest. Provides leadership by identifying and implementing continuous process improvements; provides technical guidance to PMs and Project Assistants.

- Performs skilled work and operates light- to heavy-duty maintenance equipment which includes a dump truck, water truck, roller, loader, jackhammer, as well as winter maintenance equipment for plowing, sanding, and deicing the roads. The Grade Crew performs will repair and replace asphalt on the roadways, including potholes, trench repairs, shoulder repairs, chip sealing, crack sealing, and other road maintenance. All Crews responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours. These positions include an excellent benefits package, with participation in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI).
