Development Services Manager
Responsible for directing, supervising, and managing the activities of the Planning Review and Development Review sections, including supervision of section supervisors and support personnel.
Supervises the preparation and management of the departmental budget; develops policies, procedures, and goals; participates in the development of District goals, policies, and procedures.
Coordinates Development activities with other internal departments and attends Commission meetings to present projects and/or provide information.
Traffic Operations Engineer
Under the supervision of the Congestion Management Supervisor, the Traffic Operations (Ops) Engineer/Asst. Traffic Ops Engineer plans, organizes and implements traffic flow and safety improvements, including signal timing and coordination; makes adjustments to signal timing for construction, special events and incidents that result in detours and/or lane closures.
Investigates and resolves traffic signal operations-related problems and complaints; communicates with individual citizens via phone and in writing regarding the operation of traffic signals.
Will assist in the operation of the Traffic Management Center (TMC).
General Equipment Operator – Broom Crew (nights)
Under general supervision of the Broom Crew Chief, the primary duty of this position is to operate a street sweeper and 10-wheel dump truck.
Responding to winter weather conditions and other emergencies is an essential function of this position and may require working outside of normal work hours.
Must have a current Idaho Class “A” CDL license. If license is from another state, must be able to obtain an Idaho CDL by start of employment. Must obtain a tanker endorsement within 30 days of employment.
Must be able to work nights (12:00 midnight – 10:30 a.m., Tuesday through Friday).
